Jennifer McGee, Ph.D.

Dr. Jennifer McGee is an Associate Professor Educational Research and Evaluation in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Her areas of research include STEM education, Assessment, Program Evaluation, and Applied Research Methods. She is currently working on the external evaluation for the GEAR UP Appalachian Partnership grant. When not working with CARE or for the University, Dr. McGee enjoys participating in many outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and gardening. She attributes her love of being active to her family’s enthusiasm for all sports. She also enjoys seeing live music. She maintains the belief that CARE’s strengths are being cross disciplinary and cross departmental and that CARE is working to serve many communities across western North Carolina using “Analytics for Good.”
